About Robert Mello!

ROBERT MELLO trained in Chicago at the Artistic Home, and helped found their critically acclaimed theater company and acting ensemble. As an actor, he worked primarily in Chicago, at some of the top theaters and theater companies, including The Journeymen, The Artistic Home and the internationally acclaimed Steppenwolf Theater, while also working in voiceover and commercials. In addition, he worked extensively in the Chicago improv scene, at both the Improv Olympic and The Second City. He returned to Los Angeles (where he was born and raised) over five years ago, bringing with him the visceral and exciting "Chicago style" Meisner that he trained in. He is the former VP of Development for Hazy Mills Productions and has produced and developed several pilots for FOX, FX, The CW, Showtime and CBS. His experience both in front of and behind the camera at the casting table brings a unique perspective to his class. Demanding, but compassionate, he truly loves to teach and believes there is nothing wrong with having a couple good laughs along the way.
